Senior Asset Manager / Associate Director - Real Estate

Location: Worcester office or home-based 

Rate of pay: Salary Negotiable + Car or Car Allowance + benefits

The Role:

Due to continued business growth we are looking for a Senior Asset Manager to work in this new permanent position at Mainstay Group, an award-winning Property Management company. This Associate Director level role would suit an experienced Real Estate Manager and we anticipate 3 days per week in the field and 2 days a week in our Worcester Head Office.


  • Act on behalf of the client in engaging with property landlords to negotiate breaks, surrenders, rents, rates and service charges
  • Take innovative approach to identifying and delivering property asset/real estate savings and enhancements for the client
  • Manage property exits including dilapidations
  • Identify and deliver, subject to client approval, property development opportunities
  • Work with financiers and developers to present solutions to the client and or its landlord to increase land/asset value/use and reduce the client’s financial obligations
  • Undertake, with the client, property feasibility studies to develop property asset management strategies for each site
  • Work with Client representatives and Property Asset Managers to establish long term Asset and Capex Plan
  • Line management responsibility for Real Estate Co-ordinator and Paralegal

Person Specification:

  • A background in managing corporate real estate and likely to have a background at a commercial real estate firm
  • Ability to manage a large portfolio of corporate occupied properties nationwide
  • Degree qualified or holding a relevant vocational qualification e.g. RICS
  • Ability to line manage a small team based in the head office and Property Asset Managers in the field
  • The ability to manage own workload and diary
  • Excellent customer service / client focussed
  • Highly developed communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • IT literate and strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
