Mainstay Residential, the property management arm of national operator Mainstay Group, has announced its appointment on 76 Jermyn Street – nestled in the heart of one of London’s most exclusive areas, St. James’s.

The 23 apartments will be brought into Mainstay’s integrated property management (IPM) portfolio, which is home to all of the managing agent’s luxury-led schemes. The style of management is similar to that of the build-to-rent model, taking a cue from the hospitality industry and offering clients a bespoke, customer-centric service.

As part of the Mainstay IPM package, 76 Jermyn Street residents will continue to have access to a 24/7 concierge, building manager and team of retained staff.

Charles Lucas, the company’s technical director, said: “Mainstay has a strong track record for managing high-end, central London schemes, and it is this reputation which helped us to secure the appointment on 76 Jermyn Street.

“Jermyn Street is an internationally-renowned location, famous for its craftsmanship – its outfitters, shoemakers and haberdashers have dressed everyone from Hollywood stars to royalty.

“We’re delighted to be making our mark on this iconic part of London, and look forward to welcoming the apartments into our London IPM portfolio from 1 January 2020.”

Mainstay will be managing the apartments on behalf of the 76 Jermyn Street Management Company Limited.

Charles continued: “Our experience in working alongside key stakeholders in similar and shared buildings in Central London will stand us in excellent stead.

“This, coupled with our clear passion for customer service – as demonstrated by our recent award win – will, we hope, form the basis of a harmonious, long-standing working relationship with the client.”

The contract has further bolstered a period of staggering success for Mainstay, as the business recently announced its record-breaking £26m turnover; secured appointments on a number of high-profile schemes; acquired a nationally-reaching, multi-million-pound portfolio; and – most recently – won Property Management Customer Services Team of the Year at the 2019 Property Management Allstars Awards.

Established in 2000, Mainstay was founded by Glyn Miles, Graham Donaldson and Andrew Tilly – all of whom still play an active role in the company today.

Mainstay Residential manages schemes across the country, including homes in London, Manchester, Nottingham, Merseyside, Worcester and more.

The business now manages in excess of 80,000 homes across the UK, and headcount stands at 726.
