MAINSTAY TO TRAIN 82 STAFF
In an unprecedented move, Mainstay has offered specialist Institute of Residential Property Managers (IRPM) training to any employee who wishes to participate.
Mainstay are very proud to announce that in addition to the 22 staff who have already passed the IRPM Level I or Level II examinations, a further 82 members of staff are currently participating in the course. We believe this is a demonstration of their commitment to enhancing their knowledge and further benefiting the quality of our customer service. The course will significantly broaden levels of knowledge across our business with students from all sectors of finance, maintenance and estates.
The Institute of Residential Property Management (IRPM) qualifications will provide participants with an understanding of the legal and financial frameworks that affect property management.
The course covers a wide range of topics:-
• Landlord and Tenant
legislation, Housing Acts
• Health and Safety legislation
• Finance Management for
Leasehold Properties
• Contractor Management
• Maintenance Planning
Our ultimate aim is that all 82 staff will wish to take the IRPM Level 1 Examination during 2009 allowing them to become accredited to the IRPM. This will provide them with a nationally recognised professional qualification that will enhance their ability to undertake their roles and provide opportunities for their future career progression.
The qualification is endorsed by the Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA), Association of Retirement Housing Managers (ARHM) and the Property Managers Association Scotland (PMAS).
Mainstay’s commitment to providing training stretches further with many of our staff also undertaking NVQs in Customer Service and Team Leading. We hope to expand this nationally during 2009 to further enhance our skills and ability to meet our client’s needs.
Training remains paramount to the success of Mainstay and is key to our business plan over the coming years, assisting us in retaining our position as the key player in the residential, commercial and mixed use property management industry.
