Emergency lighting/Maintenance Technician (Permanent)

Description of expected duties and role:

To work as a Mobile Emergency lighting / Maintenance Technician. Carrying out work on sites managed by Mainstay providing a high quality service to our customers.
The work is varied and will include, Emergency light testing and remedial work, electrical work and other aspects of maintenance work planned and reactive.

Reporting to Helpdesk and regional heads of facilities on a regular basis.

Liaise with our customers and Helpdesk to ensure a timely response to all maintenance work.

Duties to include, but not exhaustive of:

    • Previous experience in emergency light testing and remedial work.
    • Ability to undertake Maintenance work - planned and reactive to a high standard in a timely fashion.
    • Good levels of communication.
    • Must be a team player and flexible.
    • Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative.
    • Electrical qualifications and be able to produce minor works certificates.


  • Essential criteria expected for the role:

    • Full UK driving licence

      • Full Time - 40 hours per week

    You are responsible to ensure that the development is maintained to a clean and acceptable standard.
    You are to assist residents, guests and visitors when and where required, as long as it does not detract from your duties.
    Ability to follow instruction from managers.
    Ensure that the common parts of the building are kept clear of obstructions at all times.
